Jordan Koenig, P.E.

President, Director of Electrical Engineering

Mechanical Electrical Engineering Consultants

“We found Communication, Coaching, & Leadership for AEC Project Managers to be very helpful and we were able to implement many things right away that are having a positive effect. YOUR COACHES

PSMJ Resources Senior Consultant Jonathan Wilson is an AEC professional service training and development instructor, a keynote speaker, and a leadership and culture coach. He frequently writes, speaks, and consults on culture and leadership in the modern architecture and engineering workplace. His first book, Future Leader: Rebooting Leadership to Win the Millennial and Tech Future, helps leaders better steer their organizations in this time of rapid generational and technological change.

He brings more than 15 years of experience managing challenging AEC projects from both the consultant and client sides of the table. As a seasoned aviation professional, Jonathan hired and led numerous architecture, engineering, and construction management project teams to fulfill a multi-million-dollar aviation capital program. First as a client-side project manager and then as a program manager, Jonathan organized and led diverse teams of planning, civil engineering, structural engineering, MEP engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, survey, and construction management professionals on projects ranging from $1,000 to more than $10 million.

Jonathan founded the aviation division inside of KPG, an established 115-person Seattle-based interdisciplinary professional services firm. In that role, he and his project teams completed numerous planning, survey, civil engineering, architecture, and landscape architecture projects.

PSMJ Resources Senior Consultant Bill Hinsley knows that project management is where ultimate A/E/C firm success is generated, and he has become one of PSMJ’s most popular Project Management instructors. He has trained more than 8,000 PMs and Principals across the globe, conducted dozens of in-house classes for AEC firms that need more customization and specialization in their training, and developed tailored PM training models for each client from two-day bootcamps to four-hour training sessions and live online training.

Bill served as Associate Vice President of renowned international firms ARCADIS and Atkins where he spearheaded $1 million to $11 billion projects. With extensive project management experience in the planning, engineering, procurement, and management of large civil works projects, Bill has served as Senior Project Manager, Principal PM, and Principal-in-Charge. He has had success in many different areas including business development, leadership training, branch office optimization, and strategic planning and growth.

Our graduates say it best:

"This was a fantastic program and exactly what our engineering firm needed as we grow a new generation of leaders. Jonathan is a dynamic presenter, clearly knowledgeable, and brought years of experience to this topic. Thank you!"

"We covered a ton of useful and relevant information in an interesting, engaging, and easy to follow way. The stories couldn’t get any better to help explain new ways to approach great ideas."

“Excellent class. The instructor was very energetic and there was plenty of participation and interaction. He offered lots of real world experiences.”

Ask the most effective AEC executives what put them on a trajectory to be a great leader and they'll point to great coaching, the kind that pushed them to:

  • Craft long-term growth strategies that unleash high performers
  • Cultivate “pie makers” who win work to keep the pipeline full
  • Create a culture of employee engagement that makes their firm a talent magnet
  • Get everyone around them to think big and over-deliver every time
  • Look beyond immediate tasks and balance daily demands with a steady focus on long-term growth goals.

Communication, Coaching, & Leadership for AEC Project Managers delivers both step-by-step instruction and big-picture mindset shifts to meet these objectives, and so much more. That's why it's consistently been one of PSMJ's most popular executive education programs.
