Expertise: Project Delivery Excellence for Public Agencies

Bio

Julia Ellegood brings over twenty-two years of technical communications expertise to the project management training effort. Her experience ranges from the technical writing of long span bridge failure reports, through the writing and development of environmental documents, development and execution of public involvement programs, often on contentious projects, and the facilitation of construction partnering meetings. She is co-developer, editor and a presenter of PSMJ’s Project Delivery Excellence for Public Agencies – a two-day seminar focused exclusively on the challenges associated with managing projects in the public sector.

Julie founded and managed a firm specializing in services for public-sector design and construction programs while serving as the program manager for the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Pardon Our Dust program. She is the technical editor-of-record for several bridge failure reports for TY Lin International.

Her community and association activities include service as the Chairperson for the Maricopa County Transportation Advisory Board, Director on the National Board of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and as the Past, Post President of the Phoenix Chapter of SAME. She presently serves as Board Secretary of the Yavapai Humane Society.

She holds both Bachelor and Masters degrees in writing, communications and education.
