Bio

Denis Beaudin, whose career in engineering services has spanned 36 years, has worked at all levels of a design firm. In his consulting work with PSMJ, he enjoys helping leaders understand and implement best practices for strategic planning and ownership transitions.

Denis retired in 2015 as the President of Beaudin Ganze Consulting Engineers, Inc., a multi-office mechanical and electrical engineering and commissioning firm. He spent 24 years leading his former company, where he was responsible for business development, strategic planning, leadership development, branch office formation, and internal transitions for various corporate leader positions. The firm executes four- and five-star resort hospitality, residential, commercial, and healthcare projects across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

He formerly was a design and project engineer at MKK in its Denver office from 1982 to 1985 and the Vice President of Yoder Engineering Consultants from 1985 to 1991.

Denis was an early champion for the U.S. Green Building Council’s U.S Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED™ certification program. Since 1998 Denis has been involved in over 50 LEED™ certified buildings including six Platinum projects among the Gold and Silver certified projects.

Denis, who is a registered engineer in 19 states and a LEED™ A.P., is a board member and cofounder of Cordis Certified Healthy, a nonprofit organization. Cordis Certified Healthy designed a rating system to encourage healthy environments for both vertical and horizontal development.

He continues to serve on the Urban Land Institute’s national ULI Sustainable Development Council.

Denis received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
