March 6, 2018 (Newton, Mass) – Brandow & Johnston, Inc. has become B&J HBK, Inc., a California Corporation. The nearly 75-year-old structural and civil engineering firm will continue to operate as “Brandow & Johnston” from its offices in Los Angeles and Newport Beach, California. The firm was divested from its parent company with an investment from HBK Engineering, LLC. HBK is a utility engineering company based in Chicago with offices in Philadelphia, Iowa City and Baltimore.
James Pearson S.E., President of Brandow & Johnston, said, “This relationship will allow HBK to provide utility engineering services in California. It will also open avenues for Brandow & Johnston to expand its building-focused structural engineering services across all of HBK’s markets in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Iowa City and Chicago.”
